وَ التِّیۡنِ وَ الزَّیۡتُوۡنِ ۙ﴿۱﴾

I CALL TO witness the Fig and the Olive,

— Ahmedali

By oath of the fig and of the olive,

— Ahmedraza

By the fig, by the olive,

— Daryabadi

By the fig, and the olive,

— Hilali

By the fig and the olive.

— Itani

By the fig and the olive;

— Maududi

By At-Tin and Az-Zaytun.

— Mubarakpuri

By the fig and the olive,

I swear by the fig and the olive,

and the Mount Sinai

— Arberry

by Mount Sinai,

— Qarai

by Mount Sinai

— Sarwar

وَ ہٰذَا الۡبَلَدِ الۡاَمِیۡنِ ۙ﴿۳﴾

And this Soil Secure,

— Ahmedali

And by oath of this secure land,

— Ahmedraza

By the yonder secure city,

— Daryabadi

And by this city of security (Makkah).

— Hilali

And this safe land.

— Itani

and by this city (of Makkah), a haven of peace:

— Maududi

By this city of security.

— Mubarakpuri

And by this land made safe;

— Pickthall

and this safe country (Mecca)!

— Qaribullah

And [by] this secure city [Makkah],

— Sahih

And this city made secure,

— Shakir

and by this secure land,

— Wahiduddin

And this City of security,-

— Yusufali

اور اس امن والے شہر کی۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

اور اس پُر امن شہر (مکہ) کی

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

اور اس امن والے شہر کی !

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

اور اس امان والے شہر کی

اور یہ پرامن سرزمین

اور گواہ ہے یہ امن والا شہر۔

and this land secure!

— Arberry

and by this secure town:

— Qarai

and by this inviolable city, Mecca.

— Sarwar

لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ فِیۡۤ اَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِیۡمٍ ۫﴿۴﴾

That We created man of finest possibilities,

— Ahmedali

We have indeed created man in the best shape.

— Ahmedraza

Assuredly We have created man in goodliest mould,

— Daryabadi

Verily, We created man of the best stature (mould),

— Hilali

We created man in the best design.

— Itani

surely We created man in the best mould;

— Maududi

Verily, We created man in the best form.

— Mubarakpuri

Surely We created man of the best stature

— Pickthall

Indeed, We created the human with the fairest stature

— Qaribullah

We have certainly created man in the best of stature;

— Sahih

Certainly We created man in the best make.

— Shakir

We have indeed created man in the best of mould,

— Wahiduddin

We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,

— Yusufali

کہ ہم نے انسان کو بہترین انداز کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے۔

کہ ہم نے انسان کو بہترین ساخت پر پیدا کیا ہے

بلاشبہ یقینا ہم نے انسان کو سب سے اچھی بناوٹ میں پیدا کیا ہے۔

بیشک ہم نے آدمی کو اچھی صورت پر بنایا،

کہ ہم نے انسان کو بہترین ساخت بنایا ،

We indeed created Man in the fairest stature

We certainly created man in the best of forms;

We have created the human being in the best form

ثُمَّ رَدَدۡنٰہُ اَسۡفَلَ سٰفِلِیۡنَ ۙ﴿۵﴾

Then brought him down to the lowest of the low,

— Ahmedali

We then turned him towards all the lowest of the low states.

— Ahmedraza

Thereafter We cause him to return to the lowest of the low,

— Daryabadi

Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low,

— Hilali

Then reduced him to the lowest of the low.

— Itani

then We reverted him to the lowest of the low,

— Maududi

Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low.

— Mubarakpuri

Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low,

— Pickthall

and We shall return him to the lowest of the low,

— Qaribullah

Then We return him to the lowest of the low,

— Sahih

Then We render him the lowest of the low.

— Shakir

then We cast him down as the lowest of the low,

— Wahiduddin

Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low,-

— Yusufali

پھر ہم اسے پستوں سے بھی پست کردیتے ہیں۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

پھر ہم نے اسے ادنیٰ ترین مخلوق کے درجہ میں لوٹا دیا۔

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

پھر ہم نے اسے لوٹا کر نیچوں سے سب سے نیچا کردیا۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

پھر اسے ہر نیچی سے نیچی حالت کی طرف پھیردیا

پھر ہم نے اس کو ادنیٰ درجہ میں ڈال دیا جب کہ وہ خود گرنے والا

پھر ہم نے لوٹا دیا اس کو پست ترین حالت کی طرف۔

پھر (رفتہ رفتہ) اس (کی حالت) کو (بدل کر) پست سے پست کر دیا

پھر اسے نیچوں سے نیچا کر دیا

پھر ہم اسے پستی والوں میں سب سے زیادہ نچلی حالت میں کردیتے ہیں۔

پھر اُسے الٹا پھیر کر ہم نے سب نیچوں سے نیچ کر دیا

پھر ہم نے اسے پست سے پست تر حالت میں لوٹا دیا،

then We restored him the lowest of the low --

— Arberry

then We relegated him to the lowest of the low,

— Qarai

and We shall make him the lowest of low

— Sarwar

اِلَّا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَہُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَیۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ ؕ﴿۶﴾

Except those who believe and do the right, for whom there is reward undiminished.

— Ahmedali

Except those who accepted faith and did good deeds – for them is a never ending reward.

— Ahmedraza

Save those who believe and work righteous Works. Theirs shall be hire unending.

— Daryabadi

Save those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous deeds, then they shall have a reward without end (Paradise).

— Hilali

Except those who believe and do righteous deeds; for them is a reward without end.

— Itani

except those who have faith and do righteous deeds. Theirs is a never ending reward.

— Maududi

Save those who believe and do righteous deeds. Then they shall have a reward without end.

— Mubarakpuri

Save those who believe and do good works, and theirs is a reward unfailing.

— Pickthall

except the believers who do good works, for theirs shall be an unfailing recompense.

— Qaribullah

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

— Sahih

Except those who believe and do good, so they shall have a reward never to be cut off.

— Shakir

except for those who believe and do good deeds -- theirs shall be an unending reward!

— Wahiduddin

Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing.

— Yusufali

البتہ جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک عمل بھی کئے تو ان کے لئے اجر غیر منقطع ہے۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

بجز ان لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کیے ان کے لیے غیر منقطع اجر ہے

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

مگر وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے اور انھوں نے نیک اعمال کیے تو ان کے لیے ختم نہ ہونے والا اجر ہے۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

مگر جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے کہ انہیں بے حد ثواب ہے

— احمد رضا خان

بجز ان کے جو ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے نیک کام کئے۔ سو ان کے لئے ایک دائمی صلہ ہے۔

سوائے ان لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کیے تو ان کے لیے ایسا اجر ہوگا جس کا سلسلہ کبھی منقطع نہیں ہوگا۔

مگر جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے انکے لیے بےانتہا اجر ہے

لیکن جو لوگ ایمان ﻻئے اور (پھر) نیک عمل کیے تو ان کے لئے ایسا اجر ہے جو کبھی ختم نہ ہوگا

سوائے ان کے جو ایمان لائے، اور انہوں نے نیک عمل کیے، تو ان کو ایسا اجر ملے گا جو کبھی ختم نہیں ہوگا۔

سوائے اُن لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے کہ ان کے لیے کبھی ختم نہ ہونے والا اجر ہے

سوائے ان لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرتے رہے تو ان کے لئے ختم نہ ہونے والا (دائمی) اجر ہے،

save those who believe, and do righteous deeds; they shall have a wage unfailing.

except the righteously striving believers who will have a never ending reward.

فَمَا یُکَذِّبُکَ بَعۡدُ بِالدِّیۡنِ ؕ﴿۷﴾

Who should then make you deny the Judgement after this?

— Ahmedali

So after this, what causes you to deny the judgement?

— Ahmedraza

What hencefort shall make thee belie the Requital?

— Daryabadi

Then what (or who) causes you (O disbelievers) to deny the Recompense (i.e. Day of Resurrection)?

— Hilali

So why do you still reject the religion?

— Itani

Who, then, can give the lie to you, (O Prophet), about the Reward and the Punishment?

— Maududi

Then what causes you to deny after this the Recompense

— Mubarakpuri

So who henceforth will give the lie to thee about the judgment?

— Pickthall

So, what then shall belie you concerning the Recompense?

— Qaribullah

So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

— Sahih

Then who can give you the lie after (this) about the judgment?

— Shakir

What then after this, can make you deny the Last Judgement?

— Wahiduddin

Then what can, after this, contradict thee, as to the judgment (to come)?

— Yusufali

تو کون سی چیز تجھ سے جزاء کی تکذیب کر ارہی ہے ؟۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

پھر اس کے بعد جزا و سزا کے بارے میں آپ کو کون جھٹلا سکتا ہے ؟

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

پس اس کے بعد کون سی چیز تجھے جزا کے بارے میں جھٹلانے پر آمادہ کرتی ہے ؟

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

تو اب کیا چیز تجھے انصاف کے جھٹلانے پر باعث ہے

— احمد رضا خان

تو اب کیا ہے جس سے تم جزاء و سزا کو جھٹلاتے ہو !

تو اس کے بعد کیا چیز تجھے آمادہ کرتی ہے جزا و سزا کے انکار پر ؟

تو (اے آدم زاد) پھر تو جزا کے دن کو کیوں جھٹلاتا ہے؟

پس تجھے اب روز جزا کے جھٹلانے پر کون سی چیز آماده کرتی ہے

پھر (اے انسان) وہ کیا چیز ہے جو تجھے جزاء و سزا کو جھٹلانے پر آمادہ کر رہی ہے ؟

پس (اے نبیؐ) اس کے بعد کون جزا و سزا کے معاملہ میں تم کو جھٹلا سکتا ہے؟

پھر اس کے بعد کون ہے جو آپ کو دین (یا قیامت اور جزا و سزا) کے بارے میں جھٹلاتا ہے،

What then shall cry thee lies as to the Doom?

So what makes you deny the Retribution?

After (knowing) this, what makes you still disbelieve in the Day of Judgment?

— Sarwar

اَلَیۡسَ اللّٰہُ بِاَحۡکَمِ الۡحٰکِمِیۡنَ ٪﴿۸﴾

Is not God the most equitable of all judges?

— Ahmedali

Is not Allah the Greatest Judge upon all judges?

— Ahmedraza

Is not Allah the Greatest of the rulers?

— Daryabadi

Is not Allah the Best of judges?

— Hilali

Is God not the Wisest of the wise?

— Itani

Is not Allah the Greatest of all sovereigns?

— Maududi

Is not Allah the best of judges

— Mubarakpuri

Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges?

— Pickthall

Is Allah not the Most Just of judges!

— Qaribullah

Is not Allah the most just of judges?

— Sahih

Is not Allah the best of the Judges?

Is not God the greatest of the judges?

Is not Allah the wisest of judges?

کیا اللہ سب حاکموں سے بڑھ کر حاکم نہیں۔
