سَبِّحِ اسۡمَ رَبِّکَ الۡاَعۡلَی ۙ﴿۱﴾
1
GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high,
— Ahmedali
Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme.
— Ahmedraza
Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High,
— Daryabadi
Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
— Hilali
Praise the Name of your Lord, the Most High.
— Itani
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,
— Maududi
Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High.
— Mubarakpuri
Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High,
— Pickthall
Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest,
— Qaribullah
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
— Sahih
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,
— Shakir
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,
— Wahiduddin
Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,

آپ تسبیح کیجئے اپنے عالی شان پروردگار کے نام کی

اپنے پروردگار کے نام کی تسبیح کیجیے جو سب سے برتر ہے

اپنے رب کے نام کی تسبیح کر جو سب سے بلند ہے۔

الَّذِیۡ خَلَقَ فَسَوّٰی ۪ۙ﴿۲﴾
2
Who creates and proportions,
— Ahmedali
The One Who created, and then made proper.
— Ahmedraza
Who hath created and then proportioned,
— Daryabadi
Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it;
— Hilali
He who creates and regulates.
— Itani
Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion;
— Maududi
Who has created, and then proportioned it.
— Mubarakpuri
Who createth, then disposeth;
— Pickthall
who has created and shaped,
— Qaribullah
Who created and proportioned
— Sahih
Who creates, then makes complete,
— Shakir
who created all things and gave them due proportions,
— Wahiduddin
Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;
— Yusufali
جس نے خلق کیا پھر ٹھیک ٹھیک بنایا۔

جس نے پیدا کیا پھر اسے درست کیا

وہ جس نے پیدا کیا، پس درست بنایا۔

جس نے (کائنات کی ہر چیز کو) پیدا کیا پھر اسے (جملہ تقاضوں کی تکمیل کے ساتھ) درست توازن دیا،

who created and shaped,

who created and proportioned,

Who has created (all things) proportionately,
— Sarwar
وَ الَّذِیۡ قَدَّرَ فَہَدٰی ۪ۙ﴿۳﴾
3
Who determines and directs,
— Ahmedali
And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided.
— Ahmedraza
And Who hath disposed and then guided,
— Daryabadi
And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture);
— Hilali
He who measures and guides.
— Itani
Who determined and guided them,
— Maududi
And Who has measured; and then guided.
— Mubarakpuri
Who measureth, then guideth;
— Pickthall
who has ordained and guided,
— Qaribullah
And who destined and [then] guided
— Sahih
And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal),
— Shakir
who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly;
— Wahiduddin
Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;
— Yusufali
اور جس نے اندازہ دیا پھر راہ بتلائی۔
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
اور جس نے اس کی تقدیر بنائی پھر راہ دکھائی
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
اور وہ جس نے اندازہ ٹھہرایا، پھر ہدایت کی۔

اور جس نے اندازہ پر رکھ کر راہ دی

جس نے مقدار کیا اور ہدایت بخشی

اور جس نے (ہر شے کا) اندازہ مقرر کیا پھر اسے (فطری) ہدایت عطا فرمائی۔

اور جس نے (اس کا) اندازہ ٹہرایا (پھر اس کو) رستہ بتایا

اور جس نے (ہر ہر چیز کے لئے) قانون مقرر کیا پھر (اسے اپنے اپنے نظام کے مطابق رہنے اور چلنے کا) راستہ بتایا،

decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance.

وَ الَّذِیۡۤ اَخۡرَجَ الۡمَرۡعٰی ۪ۙ﴿۴﴾
4
Who brings out the pastures
— Ahmedali
The One Who produced pasture.
— Ahmedraza
And Who bringeth forth the pasturage,
— Daryabadi
And Who brings out the pasturage,
— Hilali
He who produces the pasture.
— Itani
Who brought forth the pasture,
— Maududi
And Who brings out the pasturage,
— Mubarakpuri
Who bringeth forth the pasturage,
— Pickthall
who brings forth the pastures,
— Qaribullah
And who brings out the pasture
— Sahih
And Who brings forth herbage,
— Shakir
who brings forth green pasture,
— Wahiduddin
And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,
— Yusufali
اور جس نے چارہ (زمین سے) نکالا
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
اور جس نے چارہ پیدا کیا
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
اور وہ جس نے چارا اگایا۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
اور جس نے چارہ نکالا،

اور جس نے نباتات اگائیں

اور جس نے (زمین سے) چارہ نکالا۔

اور جس نے سبز چارہ (زمین سے) نکالا۔

who brought forth the pasturage

It is He who has caused the grass to grow,
— Sarwar
فَجَعَلَہٗ غُثَآءً اَحۡوٰی ؕ﴿۵﴾
5
Then reduces them to rusty rubbish.
— Ahmedali
Then made it dry and dark.
— Ahmedraza
Then maketh it to stubble dusky.
— Daryabadi
And then makes it dark stubble.
— Hilali
And then turns it into light debris.
— Itani
and then made it into a blackish straw.
— Maududi
And then makes it dark stubble.
— Mubarakpuri
Then turneth it to russet stubble.
— Pickthall
then made it dry dark, flaky stubble,
— Qaribullah
And [then] makes it black stubble.
— Sahih
Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.
— Shakir
then turns it into black stubble.
— Wahiduddin
And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.
— Yusufali
پھر اسے سیاہ کوڑا کردیا۔

پھر اسے سیاہ کوڑا کرکٹ بنادیا

پھر اس نے اسے سیاہ کوڑا کرکٹ کردیا۔

پھر اسے خشک سیاہ کردیا،

پھر ان کو گھنی سر سبز و شاداب بنایا

پھر اس کو کردیا سیاہ چورا۔

then made it a blackening wrack.

and then turned it into a black scum.

then caused it to wither away.

سَنُقۡرِئُکَ فَلَا تَنۡسٰۤی ۙ﴿۶﴾
6
We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it,
— Ahmedali
We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget.
— Ahmedraza
We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget,
— Daryabadi
We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it),
— Hilali
We will make you read, so do not forget.
— Itani
We shall make you recite and then you will not forget,
— Maududi
We shall make you recite, so you shall not forget,
— Mubarakpuri
We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget
— Pickthall
We shall make you recite so that you will not forget,
— Qaribullah
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,
— Sahih
We will make you recite so you shall not forget,
— Shakir
[O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it --
— Wahiduddin
By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget,
— Yusufali
ہم آپ کو (قرآن) پڑھا دیا کریں گے پھر آپ (اسے) نہ بھولیں گے
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
ہم آپ کو پڑھا دیں گے پھر آپ بھولیں گے نہیں
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
ہم ضرور تجھے پڑھائیں گے تو تو نہیں بھولے گا۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
اب ہم تمہیں پڑھائیں گے کہ تم نہ بھولو گے
— احمد رضا خان
ہم تمہیں پڑھائیں گے تو تم نہیں بھولو گے

(اے نبی ﷺ !) ہم آپ کو پڑھا دیں گے پھر آپ بھولیں گے نہیں۔

ہم تمہیں پڑھا دیں گے کہ تم فراموش نہ کرو گے

ہم تجھے پڑھائیں گے پھر تو نہ بھولے گا

(اے پیغمبر) ہم تمہیں پڑھائیں گے پھر تم بھولو گے نہیں۔

ہم تمہیں پڑھوا دیں گے، پھر تم نہیں بھولو گے

(اے حبیبِ مکرّم!) ہم آپ کو خود (ایسا) پڑھائیں گے کہ آپ (کبھی) نہیں بھولیں گے،

We shall make thee recite, to forget not
— Arberry
We shall have you recite [the Quran], then you will not forget [any of it]
— Qarai
We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it
— Sarwar
اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللّٰہُ ؕ اِنَّہٗ یَعۡلَمُ الۡجَہۡرَ وَ مَا یَخۡفٰی ؕ﴿۷﴾
7
Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden.
— Ahmedali
Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed.
— Ahmedraza
Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden.
— Daryabadi
Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden.
— Hilali
Except what God wills. He knows what is declared, and what is hidden.
— Itani
except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden.
— Maududi
Except what Allah may will He knows what is apparent and what is hidden.
— Mubarakpuri
Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden;
— Pickthall
except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden.
— Qaribullah
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
— Sahih
Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden.
— Shakir
except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden --
— Wahiduddin
Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden.
— Yusufali
ہاں البتہ اللہ ہی جو کچھ (بھلا دینا) چاہے۔ وہ ہر ظاہر اور ہر مخفی کو جانتا ہے۔

بجز اس کے جو اللہ چاہے، وہ ظاہر کو بھی جانتا ہے اور پوشیدہ بھی
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
مگر جو اللہ چاہے۔ یقینا وہ کھلی بات کو جانتا ہے اور اس بات کو بھی جو چھپی ہوئی ہے۔

مگر جو اللہ چاہے بیشک وہ جانتا ہے ہر کھلے اور چھپے کو،
— احمد رضا خان
مگر وہی جو خدا چاہے گا۔ وہ جانتا ہے علانیہ کو بھی اور اس کو بھی جو چھپا ہوتا ہے۔

سوائے اس کے کہ جو اللہ چاہے۔

مگر جو خدا چاہے۔ وہ کھلی بات کو بھی جانتا ہے اور چھپی کو بھی

مگر جو کچھ اللہ چاہے۔ وه ﻇاہر اور پوشیده کو جانتا ہے

سوائے اس کے جسے اللہ چاہے۔ یقین رکھو وہ کھلی ہوئی چیزوں کو بھی جانتا ہے اور ان چیزوں کو بھی جو چھپی ہوئی ہیں۔

سوائے اُس کے جو اللہ چاہے، وہ ظاہر کو بھی جانتا ہے اور جو کچھ پوشیدہ ہے اُس کو بھی

مگر جو اﷲ چاہے، بیشک وہ جہر اور خفی (یعنی ظاہر و پوشیدہ اور بلند و آہستہ) سب باتوں کو جانتا ہے،

save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden.

except what Allah may wish. Indeed, He knows the open and what is hidden.

unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden.

وَ نُیَسِّرُکَ لِلۡیُسۡرٰی ۚ﴿ۖ۸﴾
8
We shall take you slowly towards ease.
— Ahmedali
And We shall create the means of ease for you.
— Ahmedraza
And We shall make easy Unto thee the easy way.
— Daryabadi
And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds).
— Hilali
We will ease you into the Easy Way.
— Itani
We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease.
— Maududi
And We shall make easy for you the easy.
— Mubarakpuri
And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease.
— Pickthall
We shall ease you to the easy.
— Qaribullah
And We will ease you toward ease.
— Sahih
And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease.
— Shakir
We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way.
— Wahiduddin
And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path).
— Yusufali
اور ہم اس آسان (شریعت) کے لئے آپ کو سہولت دے دیں گے۔
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
اور ہم آسان طریقہ پر چلنے کی سہولت دیں گے
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
اور ہم تجھے آسان راستے کے لیے سہولت دیں گے۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
اور ہم تمہارے لیے آسانی کا سامان کردیں گے
— احمد رضا خان
اور ہم تمہیں لے چلیں گے آسان راہ
— امین احسن اصلاحی
اور ہم رفتہ رفتہ پہنچائیں گے آپ کو آسانی تک۔

ہم تم کو آسان طریقے کی توفیق دیں گے

ہم آپ کے لئے آسانی پیدا کر دیں گے

اور ہم تمہیں آسان شریعت (پر چلنے کے لیے) سہولت دیں گے۔

اور ہم تمہیں آسان طریقے کی سہولت دیتے ہیں

اور ہم آپ کو اس آسان (شریعت پر عمل پیرا ہونے) کے لئے (بھی) سہولت فراہم فرمائیں گے،

We shall ease thee unto the Easing.
— Arberry
And We shall ease you into facility.
— Qarai
We shall make all your tasks easy.
— Sarwar
فَذَکِّرۡ اِنۡ نَّفَعَتِ الذِّکۡرٰی ؕ﴿۹﴾
9
So remind them if reminder is profitable:
— Ahmedali
Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial.
— Ahmedraza
Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited,
— Daryabadi
Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them).
— Hilali
So remind, if reminding helps.
— Itani
So render good counsel if good counsel will avail.
— Maududi
Therefore remind in case the reminder profits.
— Mubarakpuri
Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder.
— Pickthall
Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits,
— Qaribullah
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
— Sahih
Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit.
— Shakir
Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit.
— Wahiduddin
Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
— Yusufali
سو آپ نصیحت کرتے رہیے اگر نصیحت کرنا مفید ہوتا ہو۔
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
پس آپ نصیحت کیجیے اگر نصیحت نفع دے
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
سو تو نصیحت کر، اگر نصیحت کرنا فائدہ دے۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
تو تم نصیحت فرماؤ اگر نصیحت کام دے
— احمد رضا خان
پس تم یاددہانی کرو اگر یاد دہانی کچھ نفع پہنچائے۔
— امین احسن اصلاحی
تو آپ ﷺ یاد دہانی کراتے رہیے اگر یاد دہانی فائدہ دے۔

سو جہاں تک نصیحت (کے) نافع (ہونے کی امید) ہو نصیحت کرتے رہو

تو آپ نصیحت کرتے رہیں اگر نصیحت کچھ فائده دے
— محمد جوناگڑھی
لہذا تم نصیحت کیے جاؤ، اگر نصیحت کا فائدہ ہو۔

لہٰذا تم نصیحت کرو اگر نصیحت نافع ہو
— سید ابوالاعلیٰ مودودی
پس آپ نصیحت فرماتے رہیے بشرطیکہ نصیحت (سننے والوں کو) فائدہ دے،

Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits,
— Arberry
So admonish, for admonition is indeed beneficial:
— Qarai
Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit.
— Sarwar
سَیَذَّکَّرُ مَنۡ یَّخۡشٰی ﴿ۙ۱۰﴾
10
Those who fear will understand.
— Ahmedali
Soon whoever fears will heed advice.
— Ahmedraza
Admonished is he indeed who feareth,
— Daryabadi
The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah),
— Hilali
The reverent will remember.
— Itani
He who fears (Allah) shall heed it,
— Maududi
The reminder will be received by him who fears,
— Mubarakpuri
He will heed who feareth,
— Pickthall
and he who fears shall remember,
— Qaribullah
He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.
— Sahih
He who fears will mind,
— Shakir
He who fears [God] will heed the reminder,
— Wahiduddin
The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah):
— Yusufali
نصیحت مانتا وہی ہے جو خشیت رکھتا ہے
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
جو شخص (اللہ سے) ڈرتا ہے وہ تو نصیحت قبول کرلے گا
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
عنقریب نصیحت حاصل کرے گا جو ڈرتا ہے۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
عنقریب نصیحت مانے گا جو ڈرتا ہے
— احمد رضا خان
فائدہ اٹھالے گا وہ جس کو ڈر ہو گا
— امین احسن اصلاحی
وہ نصیحت حاصل کرلے گا جو ڈرتا ہے۔

جو خوف رکھتا ہے وہ تو نصیحت پکڑے گا

ڈرنے واﻻ تو نصیحت لے گا

جس کے دل میں اللہ کا خوف ہوگا، وہ نصیحت مانے گا۔

جو شخص ڈرتا ہے وہ نصیحت قبول کر لے گا

البتہ وہی نصیحت قبول کرے گا جو اﷲ سے ڈرتا ہوگا،

and he who fears shall remember,
— Arberry
he who fears [God] will take admonition,
— Qarai
Those who have fear of God will benefit
— Sarwar
وَ یَتَجَنَّبُہَا الۡاَشۡقَی ﴿ۙ۱۱﴾
11
Only the wretch will turn aside,
— Ahmedali
And the most wicked will stay away from it.
— Ahmedraza
And the wretched shunneth it-.
— Daryabadi
But it will be avoided by the wretched,
— Hilali
But the wretched will avoid it.
— Itani
but the wretched will turn away from it.
— Maududi
But it will be avoided by the wretched,
— Mubarakpuri
But the most hapless will flout it,
— Pickthall
but the most wretched shall avoid it,
