Your Lord surely knows that you are occupied with your devotions for nearly two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or one-third of it, as do many others with you. Yet God prescribes the measure of night and day. He knows you cannot calculate it, and so turns to you in benevolence. So recite as much of the Qur'an as you can easily. He knows some among you will be sick, and some will be travelling over the earth in search of the bounty of God, and some fighting in the way of God. So read as much from it as you can easily, and be firm in devotion, pay the zakat, and lend a goodly loan to God. And what you send for yourself of the good, you will find it with God better and greater in reward. So ask for God's forgiveness. Indeed God is forgiving and kind.

آپ کا پروردگار خوب جانتا ہے کہ آپ اور آپ کے ساتھ والوں میں سے کچھ لوگ رات کی دو تہائی اور (کبھی) آدھی رات اور (کبھی) تہائی رات کھڑے رہتے ہیں اور رات اور دن پورا اندازہ اللہ ہی کرسکتا ہے۔ اسے معلوم ہے کہ تم لوگ اسے پورے احاطہ میں نہیں لاسکتے سو اس نے تمہارے حال پر توجہ کی سو تم لوگ جتنا قرآن آسانی سے پڑھا جاسکے پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اسے یہ بھی معلوم ہے کہ تم میں سے بعض آدمی بیمان ہوں گے اور بعض سفر کریں گے ملک میں اللہ کی روزی کی تلاش میں اور بغض اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کریں گے سو تم لوگ جتنا قرآن آسانی سے پڑھا جاسکے پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اور نماز کی پابندی رکھو اور زکوٰۃ دیتے رہو اور اللہ کو اچھی طرح قرض دو۔ اور جو بھی نیک عمل اپنے لئے آگے بھیج دو گے اس کو اللہ کے پاس پہنچ کر اس سے اچھا اور اجر میں بڑھا ہوا پاؤ گے اور اللہ سے مغفرت طلب کرتے رہو بیشک اللہ بڑا مغفرت والا ہے بڑا رحمت والا ہے۔۔

آپ کا پروردگار یقینا جانتا ہے کہ آپ قریباً دو تہائی رات اور (کبھی) نصف رات اور (کبھی) ایک تہائی رات (نماز میں) کھڑے ہوتے ہیں اور آپ کے ساتھیوں میں سے بھی ایک گروہ (کھڑا ہوتا ہے) اور رات، دن کو تو اللہ ہی کم و بیش کرتا ہے۔ اسے معلوم ہے کہ تم اوقات کا صحیح شمار نہ کرسکو گے لہذا اس نے تم پر مہربانی فرما دی۔ لہذا اب جتنا قرآن آسانی سے پڑھ سکو۔ پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اسے معلوم ہے کہ تم میں سے کچھ بیمار ہوں گے، کچھ دوسرے اللہ کے فضل کی تلاش میں سفر کرتے ہیں اور کچھ دوسرے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرتے ہیں، لہذا جتنا قرآن آسانی سے پڑھ سکو پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اور نماز قائم کرو اور زکوٰۃ ادا کیا کرو اور اللہ کو اچھا قرض دیتے رہو، اور جو بھی بھلائی تم اپنے لیے آگے بھیجو گے تو اسے اللہ کے ہاں اس حال میں موجود پاؤ گے کہ وہ (اصل عمل سے) بہتر اور اجر کے لحاظ سے بہت زیادہ ہوگی۔ اور اللہ سے معافی مانگتے رہو، اللہ یقینا بخشنے والا ہے، رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

بلاشبہ تیرا رب جانتا ہے کہ یقینا تو رات کے دو تہائی کے قریب اور اس کا نصف اور اس کا تیسرا حصہ قیام کرتا ہے اور ان لوگوں کی ایک جماعت بھی جو تیرے ساتھ ہیں اور اللہ رات اور دن کا اندازہ رکھتا ہے۔ اس نے جان لیا کہ تم ہرگز اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھو گے، سو اس نے تم پر مہربانی فرمائی تو قرآن میں سے جو میسر ہو پڑھو۔ اس نے جان لیا کہ یقینا تم میں سے کچھ بیمار ہوں گے اور کچھ دوسرے زمین میں سفر کریں گے، اللہ کا فضل تلاش کریں گے اور کچھ دوسرے اللہ کی راہ میں لڑیں گے، پس اس میں سے جو میسر ہو پڑھو اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰۃ دو اور اللہ کو قرض دو ، اچھا قرض دینا اور جو نیکی بھی تم اپنی جانوں کے لیے آگے بھیجو گے اسے اللہ کے ہاں پاؤ گے کہ وہ بہتر اور ثواب میں کہیں بڑی ہے اور اللہ سے بخشش مانگو، بلاشبہ اللہ بےحد بخشنے والا، نہایت رحم والا ہے۔

بیشک تمہارا رب جانتا ہے کہ تم قیام کرتے ہو کبھی دو تہائی رات کے قریب، کبھی آدمی رات، کبھی تہائی اور ایک جماعت تمہارے ساتھ والی اور اللہ رات اور دن کا اندازہ فرماتا ہے، اسے معلوم ہے کہ اے مسلمانو! تم سے رات کا شمار نہ ہوسکے گا تو اس نے اپنی مہر سے تم پر رجوع فرمائی اب قرآن میں سے جتنا تم پر آسان ہو اتنا پڑھو اسے معلوم ہے کہ عنقریب کچھ تم میں سے بیمار ہوں گے اور کچھ زمین میں سفر کریں گے اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرنے اور کچھ اللہ کی راہ میں لڑتے ہوں گے تو جتنا قرآن میسر ہو پڑھو اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰة دو اور اللہ کو اچھا قرض دو اور اپنے لیے جو بھلائی آگے بھیجو گے اسے اللہ کے پاس بہتر اور بڑے ثواب کی پاؤ گے، اور اللہ سے بخشش مانگو، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،

بیشک تمہارا رب جانتا ہے کہ تم شب میں دو تہائی رات کے قریب یا نصف یا تہائی رات قیام کرتے ہو اور ایک گروہ تمہارے ساتھیوں میں سے بھی اور اللہ ہی رات اور دن کا اندازہ ٹھہراتا ہے۔ اس نے جانا کہ تم اس کو نباہ نہ سکو گے تو اس نے تم پر غنایت کی نظر کی تو قرآن میں سے جتنا میسر ہوسکے پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اس کے علم میں ہے کہ تم میں مریض بھی ہوں گے اور ایسے لوگ بھی ہوں گے جو اللہ کے فضل کی طلب میں سفر کریں گے اور دوسرے ایسے لوگ بھی ہوں گے جو اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کے لیے اٹھیں گے تو جتنا میسر ہوسکے اس میں سے پڑھ لیا کرو اور نماز کا اہتمام رکھو، زکوۃ دیتے رہو اور اللہ کو قرض دو قرض اچھا اور جو کچھ بھی تم اپنے لیے پہلے سے بھیج رکھو گے اس کو اللہ کے پاس اس سے بہتر اور اجرا میں برتر پائو گے اور اللہ سے استغفار کرتے رہو۔ بیشک اللہ بڑا ہی غفور رحیم ہے

(اے نبی ﷺ !) یقینا آپ کا رب جانتا ہے کہ آپ قیام کرتے ہیں کبھی دو تہائی رات کے قریب کبھی نصف رات اور کبھی ایک تہائی رات اور جو لوگ آپ کے ساتھ ہیں ان میں سے بھی ایک جماعت آپ کے ساتھ (کھڑی) ہوتی ہے۔ اور اللہ ہی رات اور دن کا اندازہ کرتا ہے۔ اللہ جانتا ہے کہ تم اس کی پابندی نہیں کرسکو گے تو اس نے تم پر مہربانی فرمائی ہے تو اب قرآن سے جتنا بآسانی پڑھ سکتے ہو پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اللہ کے علم میں ہے کہ تم میں کچھ لوگ مریض ہوں گے اور بعض دوسرے زمین میں سفر کریں گے اللہ کے فضل کو تلاش کرتے ہوں گے اور کچھ اللہ کی راہ میں قتال کر رہے ہوں گے چناچہ جس قدر تمہارے لیے آسان ہو اس میں سے پڑھ لیا کرو اور نماز قائم کرو اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرو اور اللہ کو قرض حسنہ دو۔ اور جو بھلائی بھی تم آگے بھیجو گے اپنی جانوں کے لیے اسے موجود پائو گے اللہ کے پاس بہتر اور اجر میں بڑھ کر۔ اور اللہ سے مغفرت طلب کرتے رہو۔ اور اللہ سے مغفرت طلب کرتے رہو۔ یقینا اللہ تعالیٰ بہت بخشنے والا رحمت فرمانے والا ہے۔

تمہارا پروردگار خوب جانتا ہے کہ تم اور تمہارے ساتھ کے لوگ (کبھی) دو تہائی رات کے قریب اور (کبھی) آدھی رات اور (کبھی) تہائی رات قیام کیا کرتے ہو۔ اور خدا تو رات اور دن کا اندازہ رکھتا ہے۔ اس نے معلوم کیا کہ تم اس کو نباہ نہ سکو گے تو اس نے تم پر مہربانی کی۔ پس جتنا آسانی سے ہوسکے (اتنا) قرآن پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اس نے جانا کہ تم میں بعض بیمار بھی ہوتے ہیں اور بعض خدا کے فضل (یعنی معاش) کی تلاش میں ملک میں سفر کرتے ہیں اور بعض خدا کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں۔ تو جتنا آسانی سے ہوسکے اتنا پڑھ لیا کرو۔ اور نماز پڑھتے رہو اور زکوٰة ادا کرتے رہو اور خدا کو نیک (اور خلوص نیت سے) قرض دیتے رہو۔ اور جو عمل نیک تم اپنے لئے آگے بھیجو گے اس کو خدا کے ہاں بہتر اور صلے میں بزرگ تر پاؤ گے۔ اور خدا سے بخشش مانگتے رہو۔ بےشک خدا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

آپ کا رب بخوبی جانتا ہے کہ آپ اور آپ کے ساتھ کے لوگوں کی ایک جماعت قریب دو تہائی رات کے اور آدھی رات کے اور ایک تہائی رات کے تہجد پڑھتی ہے اور رات دن کا پورا اندازه اللہ تعالیٰ کو ہی ہے، وه (خوب) جانتا ہے کہ تم اسے ہرگز نہ نبھا سکو گے پس اس نے تم پر مہربانی کی لہٰذا جتنا قرآن پڑھنا تمہارے لیے آسان ہو اتنا ہی پڑھو، وه جانتا ہے کہ تم میں بعض بیمار بھی ہوں گے، بعض دوسرے زمین میں چل پھر کر اللہ تعالیٰ کا فضل (یعنی روزی بھی) تلاش کریں گے اور کچھ لوگ اللہ تعالیٰ کی راه میں جہاد بھی کریں گے، سو تم بہ آسانی جتنا قرآن پڑھ سکو پڑھو اور نماز کی پابندی رکھو اور زکوٰة دیتے رہا کرو اور اللہ تعالیٰ کو اچھا قرض دو۔ اور جو نیکی تم اپنے لیے آگے بھیجو گے اسے اللہ تعالیٰ کے ہاں بہتر سے بہتر اور ﺛواب میں بہت زیاده پاؤ گے اللہ تعالیٰ سے معافی مانگتے رہو۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ بخشنے واﻻ مہربان ہے
— محمد جوناگڑھی
(اے پیغمبر) تمہارا پروردگار جانتا ہے کہ تم دو تہائی رات کے قریب، اور کبھی آدھی رات اور کبھی ایک تہائی رات (تہجد کی نماز کے لیے) کھڑے ہوتے ہو، اور تمہارے ساتھیوں میں سے بھی ایک جماعت (ایسا ہی کرتی ہے) اور رات اور دن کی ٹھیک ٹھیک مقدار اللہ ہی مقرر فرماتا ہے۔ اسے معلوم ہے کہ تم اس کا ٹھیک حساب رکھ سکو گے، اس لیے اس نے تم پر عنایت فرما دی ہے۔ اب تم اتنا قرآن پڑھ لیا کرو جتنا آسان ہو۔ اللہ کو علم ہے کہ تم میں کچھ لوگ بیمار ہوں گے، اور کچھ دوسرے ایسے ہوں گے جو اللہ کا فضل تلاش کرنے کے لیے زمین میں سفر کر رہے ہوں گے۔ اور کچھ ایسے جو اللہ کے راستے میں جنگ کر رہے ہوں گے۔ لہذا تم اس (قرآن) میں سے اتنا ہی پڑھ لیا کرو جتنا آسان ہو۔ اور نماز قائم کرو، اور زکوٰۃ ادا کرو، اور اللہ کو قرض دو ، اچھا والا قرض ! اور تم اپنے آپ کے لیے جو بھلائی بھی آگے بھیجو گے، اسے اللہ کے پاس جاکر اس طرح پاؤ گے کہ وہ کہیں بہتر حالت میں اور بڑے زبردست ثواب کی شکل میں موجود ہے۔ اور اللہ سے مغفرت مانگتے رہو۔ یقین رکھو کہ اللہ بہت بخشنے والا، بہت مہربان ہے۔

اے نبیؐ، تمہارا رب جانتا ہے کہ تم کبھی دو تہائی رات کے قریب اور کبھی آدھی رات اور کبھی ایک تہائی رات عبادت میں کھڑے رہتے ہو، اور تمہارے ساتھیوں میں سے بھی ایک گروہ یہ عمل کرتا ہے اللہ ہی رات اور دن کے اوقات کا حساب رکھتا ہے، اُسے معلوم ہے کہ تم لوگ اوقات کا ٹھیک شمار نہیں کر سکتے، لہٰذا اس نے تم پر مہربانی فرمائی، اب جتنا قرآن آسانی سے پڑھ سکتے ہو پڑھ لیا کرو اُسے معلوم ہے کہ تم میں کچھ مریض ہونگے، کچھ دوسرے لوگ اللہ کے فضل کی تلاش میں سفر کرتے ہیں، اور کچھ اور لوگ اللہ کی راہ میں جنگ کرتے ہیں پس جتنا قرآن بآسانی پڑھا جا سکے پڑھ لیا کرو، نماز قائم کرو، زکوٰۃ دو اور اللہ کو اچھا قرض دیتے رہو جو کچھ بھلائی تم اپنے لیے آگے بھیجو گے اسے اللہ کے ہاں موجود پاؤ گے، وہی زیادہ بہتر ہے اور اس کا اجر بہت بڑا ہے اللہ سے مغفرت مانگتے رہو، بے شک اللہ بڑا غفور و رحیم ہے

بے شک آپ کا رب جانتا ہے کہ آپ (کبھی) دو تہائی شب کے قریب اور (کبھی) نصف شب اور (کبھی) ایک تہائی شب (نماز میں) قیام کرتے ہیں، اور اُن لوگوں کی ایک جماعت (بھی) جو آپ کے ساتھ ہیں (قیام میں شریک ہوتی ہے)، اور اﷲ ہی رات اور دن (کے گھٹنے اور بڑھنے) کا صحیح اندازہ رکھتا ہے، وہ جانتا ہے کہ تم ہرگز اُس کے اِحاطہ کی طاقت نہیں رکھتے، سو اُس نے تم پر (مشقت میں تخفیف کر کے) معافی دے دی، پس جتنا آسانی سے ہو سکے قرآن پڑھ لیا کرو، وہ جانتا ہے کہ تم میں سے (بعض لوگ) بیمار ہوں گے اور (بعض) دوسرے لوگ زمین میں سفر کریں گے تاکہ اﷲ کا فضل تلاش کریں اور (بعض) دیگر اﷲ کی راہ میں جنگ کریں گے، سو جتنا آسانی سے ہو سکے اُتنا (ہی) پڑھ لیا کرو، اور نماز قائم رکھو اور زکوٰۃ دیتے رہو اور اﷲ کو قرضِ حسن دیا کرو، اور جو بھلائی تم اپنے لئے آگے بھیجو گے اُسے اﷲ کے حضور بہتر اور اَجر میں بزرگ تر پا لوگے، اور اﷲ سے بخشش طلب کرتے رہو، اﷲ بہت بخشنے والا بے حد رحم فرمانے والا ہے،

Thy Lord knows that thou keepest vigil nearly two-thirds of the night, or a half of it, or a third of it, and a party of those with thee; and God determines the night and the day. He knows that you will not number it, and He has turned towards you. Therefore recite of the Koran so much as is feasible. He knows that some of you are sick, and others journeying in the land, seeking the bounty of God, and others fighting in the way of God. So recite of it so much as is feasible. And perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and lend to God a good loan. Whatever good you shall forward to your souls' account, you shall find it with God as better, and mightier a wage. And ask God's forgiveness; God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.

Indeed your Lord knows that you stand vigil for nearly two thirds of the night—or [at times] a half or a third of it—along with a group of those who are with you. Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you cannot calculate it [exactly], and so He was lenient toward you. So recite as much of the Quran as is feasible. He knows that some of you will be sick, while others will travel in the land seeking Allah’s bounty, and yet others will fight in the way of Allah. So recite as much of it as is feasible, and maintain the prayer and pay the zakat and lend Allah a good loan. Whatever good you send ahead for your souls you will find it with Allah [in a form] that is better and greater with respect to reward. And plead to Allah for forgiveness; indeed Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful.

Your Lord knows that you and a group of those who are with you get up for prayer sometimes for less than two-thirds of the night, sometimes half and sometimes one-third of it. God determines the duration of the night and day. He knew that it would be hard for you to keep an exact account of the timing of the night prayers, so He turned to you with forgiveness. Thus, recite from the Quran as much as possible. He knew that some of you would be sick, others would travel in the land to seek God's favors, and still others would fight for the cause of God. Thus, recite from the Quran as much as possible, be steadfast in prayer, pay the zakat, and give virtuous loans to God. Whatever good deeds you save for the next life, you will certainly find them with God. This is the best investment, and for this you will find the greatest reward. Ask forgiveness from God. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful.
