When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm."

سو جب وہ لڑکا ان کے ساتھ چلنے پھرنے کے قابل ہوگیا تو انہوں نے کہا بیٹا ! میں نے خواب دیکھا ہے کہ میں تمہیں ذبح کررہا ہوں سو تم بھی سوچ لو تمہاری کیا رائے ہے وہ بولے اے میرے باپ آپ کر ڈالیے جو کچھ آپ کو حکم ملا ہے آپ انشاء اللہ مجھے صبر کرنے والوں میں سے پائیں گے۔

پھر جب وہ اس کے ساتھ دوڑ دھوپ کی عمر کو پہنچ گیا تو اس نے کہا اے میرے چھوٹے بیٹے ! بلاشبہ میں خواب میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ بیشک میں تجھے ذبح کر رہا ہوں، تو دیکھ تو کیا خیال کرتا ہے ؟ اس نے کہا اے میرے باپ ! تجھے جو حکم دیا جا رہا ہے کر گزر، اگر اللہ نے چاہا تو تو ضرور مجھے صبر کرنے والوں میں سے پائے گا۔

پس جب وہ اس کے ساتھ چلنے پھرنے کی عمر کو پہنچ اس نے کہا، اے میرے بیٹے ! میں خواب میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تم کو ذبح کر رہا ہوں تو غور کرلو تمہاری کیا رائے ہے ! اس نے جواب دیا کہ اے میرے باپ، آپ کو جو حکم دیا جا رہا ہے اس کی تعمیل کیجیے۔ آپ انشاء اللہ مھے ثابت قدموں میں پائیں گے۔

اُس نے کہا : ابا جان ! آپ کر گزرئیے جس کا آپ کو حکم ہو رہا ہے۔ اللہ نے چاہا تو آپ مجھے صبر کرنے والوں میں پائیں گے۔

جب وہ ان کے ساتھ دوڑنے (کی عمر) کو پہنچا تو ابراہیم نے کہا کہ بیٹا میں خواب میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ (گویا) تم کو ذبح کر رہا ہوں تو تم سوچو کہ تمہارا کیا خیال ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ ابا جو آپ کو حکم ہوا ہے وہی کیجیئے خدا نے چاہا تو آپ مجھے صابروں میں پایئے گا
