قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ۙ﴿۱﴾
1
SAY: "I SEEK refuge with the Lord of men,
— Ahmedali
Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I take refuge of the One Who is the Lord of all mankind.”
— Ahmedraza
Say thou: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind,
— Daryabadi
Say: "I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind,
— Hilali
Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.
— Itani
Say: “I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind;
— Maududi
Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of An-Nas,"
— Mubarakpuri
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
— Pickthall
Say: 'I take refuge with the Lord of people,
— Qaribullah
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
— Sahih
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men,

آپ کہیے کہ میں انسانوں کے پروردگار کی

آپ کہیے کہ : میں لوگوں کے پروردگار کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں

تو کہہ میں پناہ پکڑتا ہوں لوگوں کے رب کی۔

From the evil of him who breathes temptations into the minds of men,

“From the evil of the one who instils evil thoughts in the hearts – and stays hidden.”

From the evil of the sneaking whisperer

"From the evil of the whisperer (devil who whispers evil in the hearts of men) who withdraws (from his whispering in one's heart after one remembers Allah),

From the evil of the sneaky whisperer.

from the mischief of the whispering, elusive prompter who returns again and again,

پیچھے ہٹ جانے والے وسوسے ڈالنے والے (شیطان) کے شر سے۔

اس وسوسہ ڈالنے والے کے شر سے جو (وسوسہ ڈال کر) پیچھے ہٹ جاتا ہے

Who suggests evil thoughts to the hearts of men --

Who whispereth Unto the breasts of mankind,

"Who whispers in the breasts of mankind,

Who whispers into the hearts of people.

who whispers in the hearts of people;

"Who whispers in the breasts of An-Nas."

Who whispereth in the hearts of mankind,

who whispers in the chests of people,

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

(وہی) جو لوگوں کے دلوں میں وسوسہ ڈالتا ہے
