Al-Kawthar — Surah 108

اِنَّاۤ اَعۡطَیۡنٰکَ الۡکَوۡثَرَ ؕ﴿۱﴾
1
HAVE SURELY given you pre-eminence (in numbers and following);
— Ahmedali
We have indeed bestowed the Kausar* upon you (O dear prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). (*Infinite excellent qualities / the greatest number of followers / the sweet pond on the Day of Resurrection)
— Ahmedraza
Verily We! We have given thee Kauthar.
— Daryabadi
Verily, We have granted you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise);
— Hilali
We have given you plenty.
— Itani
(O Prophet), We have surely bestowed upon you good in abundance.
— Maududi
Verily, We have granted you Al-Kawthar.
— Mubarakpuri
Lo! We have given thee Abundance;
— Pickthall
Indeed, We have given you (Prophet Muhammad) the abundance (Al Kawthar: river, its pool and springs).
— Qaribullah
Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.
— Sahih
Surely We have given you Kausar,
— Shakir
We have given you abundance.
— Wahiduddin
To thee have We granted the Fount (of Abundance).
— Yusufali
ہم نے آپ کو خیر کثیر عطا کی ہے۔
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
ہم نے آپ کو کوثر عطا کیا ہے
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
بلاشبہ ہم نے تجھے کوثر عطا کی۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
اے محبوب! بیشک ہم نے تمہیں بے شمار خوبیاں عطا فرمائیں
— احمد رضا خان
ہم نے تم کو بخشا کوثر
— امین احسن اصلاحی
(اے نبی ﷺ !) ہم نے آپ کو خیر کثیر عطا کیا۔

(اے محمدﷺ) ہم نے تم کو کوثر عطا فرمائی ہے
— فتح محمد جالندھری
یقیناً ہم نے تجھے (حوض) کوﺛر (اور بہت کچھ) دیا ہے
— محمد جوناگڑھی
(اے پیغمبر) یقین جانو ہم نے تمہیں کوثر عطا کردی ہے۔
— محمد تقی عثمانی
(اے نبیؐ) ہم نے تمہیں کوثر عطا کر دیا
— سید ابوالاعلیٰ مودودی
بیشک ہم نے آپ کو (ہر خیر و فضیلت میں) بے انتہا کثرت بخشی ہے٭، ٭ کوثر سے مراد حوضِ کوثر یا نہرِ جنت بھی ہے اور قرآن اور نبوت و حکمت بھی، فضائل و معجزات کی کثرت یا اصحاب و اتباع اور امت کی کثرت بھی مراد لی گئی ہے۔ رفعتِ ذکر اور خلقِ عظیم بھی مراد ہے اور دنیا و آخرت کی نعمتیں بھی، نصرتِ الٰہیہ اور کثرتِ فتوحات بھی مراد ہیں اور روزِ قیامت مقامِ محمود اور شفاعتِ عظمیٰ بھی مراد لی گئی ہے۔

Surely We have given thee abundance;
— Arberry
Indeed We have given you abundance.
— Qarai
(Muhammad), We have granted you abundant virtue.
— Sarwar
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّکَ وَ انۡحَرۡ ؕ﴿۲﴾
2
So serve your Lord with full dedication and sacrifice.
— Ahmedali
So offer the prayers for your Lord, and perform the sacrifice.
— Ahmedraza
Wherefore pray thou Unto thy Lord, and sacrifice.
— Daryabadi
Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only).
— Hilali
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.
— Itani
So offer Prayer and sacrifice to your Lord alone.
— Maududi
Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice.
— Mubarakpuri
So pray unto thy Lord, and sacrifice.
— Pickthall
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.
— Qaribullah
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
— Sahih
Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.
— Shakir
Pray to your Lord and sacrifice to Him alone.
— Wahiduddin
Therefore to thy Lord turn in Prayer and Sacrifice.
— Yusufali
سو آپ اپنے پروردگار کی نماز پڑھئے اور قربانی کیجئے۔
— عبدالماجد دریابادی
تو آپ اپنے پروردگار کے لیے نماز ادا کیجیے اور قربانی کیجیے
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
پس تو اپنے رب کے لیے نماز پڑھ اور قربانی کر۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
تو تم اپنے رب کے لیے نماز پڑھو اور قربانی کرو
— احمد رضا خان
تو اپنے خداوند ہی کی نماز پڑھو اور اسی کے لئے قربانی کرو۔
— امین احسن اصلاحی
پس آپ ﷺ اپنے رب کے لیے نماز پڑھا کیجیے اور قربانی کیا کیجیے۔

تو اپنے پروردگار کے لیے نماز پڑھا کرو اور قربانی دیا کرو
— فتح محمد جالندھری
پس تو اپنے رب کے لئے نماز پڑھ اور قربانی کر
— محمد جوناگڑھی
لہذا تم اپنے پروردگار (کی خوشنودی) کے لیے نماز پڑھو، اور قربانی کرو۔
— محمد تقی عثمانی
پس تم اپنے رب ہی کے لیے نماز پڑھو اور قربانی کرو
— سید ابوالاعلیٰ مودودی
پس آپ اپنے رب کے لئے نماز پڑھا کریں اور قربانی دیا کریں (یہ ہدیۂ تشکرّ ہے)،

so pray unto thy Lord and sacrifice.
— Arberry
So pray to your Lord, and sacrifice [the sacrificial camel].
— Qarai
So worship your Lord and make sacrificial offerings.
— Sarwar
اِنَّ شَانِئَکَ ہُوَ الۡاَبۡتَرُ ٪﴿۳﴾
3
It is surely your opponents whose line will come to end.
— Ahmedali
Indeed it is your enemy who is bereft of all goodness.
— Ahmedraza
Verily it is thy traducer who shall be tail-less.
— Daryabadi
For he who makes you angry (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), - he will be cut off (from every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).
— Hilali
He who hates you is the loser.
— Itani
Verily your enemy alone has been cut off from the roots.
— Maududi
For he who hates you, he will be cut off.
— Mubarakpuri
Lo! it is thy insulter (and not thou) who is without posterity.
— Pickthall
Surely, he who hates you, he is the most severed.
— Qaribullah
Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.
— Sahih
Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity,
— Shakir
It is the one who hates you who has been cut off.
— Wahiduddin
For he who hateth thee, he will be cut off (from Future Hope).
— Yusufali
یقیناً بےنام ونشان (ہوکر) تو آپ کا دشمن ہی رہے گا۔

بلاشبہ آپ کا دشمن ہی جڑ کٹا ہے
— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی
یقینا تیرا دشمن ہی لاولد ہے۔
— عبدالسلام بھٹوی
بیشک جو تمہارا دشمن ہے وہی ہر خیر سے محروم ہے

تمہارا دشمن ہی منقطع ہونے والا ہے۔

یقینا آپ ﷺ کا دشمن ہی جڑ کٹا ہوگا۔

کچھ شک نہیں کہ تمہارا دشمن ہی بےاولاد رہے گا

یقین جانو تمہارا دشمن ہی وہ ہے جس کی جڑ کٹی ہوئی ہے۔

Surely he that hates thee, he is the one cut off.

Whoever hates you will himself remain childless.
