Nobal Quran

وَ الۡعٰدِیٰتِ ضَبۡحًا ۙ﴿۱﴾

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others,

— Ahmedali

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.)

— Ahmedraza

By the chargers panting,

— Daryabadi

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath),

— Hilali

By the racers panting.

— Itani

By (the horses) that charge snorting,

— Maududi

By the `Adiyat (steeds), snorting.

— Mubarakpuri

By the snorting courses,

— Pickthall

By the snorting runners (the horses),

— Qaribullah

By the racers, panting,

— Sahih

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly,

— Shakir

By the snorting, panting horses,

— Wahiduddin

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),

— Yusufali

قسم ہے گھوڑوں کی جو ہانپتے ہوئے دوڑتے ہیں

قسم ان گھوڑوں کی جو دوڑتے وقت ہانپتے ہیں

قسم ہے ان (گھوڑوں) کی جو پیٹ اور سینے سے آواز نکالتے ہوئے دوڑنے والے ہیں !

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks

فَالۡمُوۡرِیٰتِ قَدۡحًا ۙ﴿۲﴾

Then those striking sparks of fire,

— Ahmedali

Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire.

— Ahmedraza

And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs.

— Daryabadi

Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves),

— Hilali

Igniting sparks.

— Itani

then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs),

— Maududi

Striking sparks of fire.

— Mubarakpuri

Striking sparks of fire

— Pickthall

by the strikers of fire,

— Qaribullah

And the producers of sparks [when] striking

— Sahih

Then those that produce fire striking,

— Shakir

striking sparks of fire with their hooves,

And strike sparks of fire,

پھر ٹاپ مار کر آگ جھاڑتے ہیں

پھر ان کی جو اپنی ٹاپوں سے چنگاریاں نکالتے ہیں

پھر جو سم مار کر چنگاریاں نکالنے والے ہیں !

And raiding at dawn

And scouring to the raid at dawn

— Hilali

Raiding at dawn.

— Itani

then raid by the dawn,

— Maududi

And scouring to the raid at dawn.

— Mubarakpuri

And scouring to the raid at dawn,

— Pickthall

by the dawnraiders,

— Qaribullah

And the chargers at dawn,

— Sahih

Then those that make raids at morn,

— Shakir

as they gallop to make raids at dawn,

— Wahiduddin

And push home the charge in the morning,

پھر صبح کے وقت تاخت و تاراج کرتے ہیں

پھر ان کی جو صبح دم چھاپہ مارتے ہیں

پھر جو صبح کے وقت حملہ کرنے والے ہیں !

فَاَثَرۡنَ بِہٖ نَقۡعًا ۙ﴿۴﴾

Raising clouds of dust,

So thereupon raising dust.

And therein raising dust.

And raise the dust in clouds the while,

— Hilali

Raising clouds of dust.

— Itani

and blaze a trail of dust,

— Maududi

And raise the dust in clouds the while.

Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,

— Pickthall

raising a trail of dust,

— Qaribullah

Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,

— Sahih

Then thereby raise dust,

— Shakir

and raising clouds of dust,

— Wahiduddin

And raise the dust in clouds the while,

— Yusufali

پھر اس وقت غبار اڑاتے ہیں

پھر ان کی جو غبار اڑاتے ہیں

پھر اس کے ساتھ غبار اڑاتے ہیں۔

پھر اس وقت غبار اڑاتے ہیں،

and leave behind a cloud of dust

فَوَسَطۡنَ بِہٖ جَمۡعًا ۙ﴿۵﴾

Penetrating deep into the armies,

Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army.

— Ahmedraza

And cleaving their way therein into the host,

— Daryabadi

Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe);

— Hilali

Storming into the midst.

— Itani

and penetrate deep into a host.

— Maududi

And penetrating forthwith as one into the midst.

— Mubarakpuri

Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe),

— Pickthall

dividing the gathering.

— Qaribullah

Arriving thereby in the center collectively,

— Sahih

Then rush thereby upon an assembly:

— Shakir

forcing their way into the midst of the enemy,

— Wahiduddin

And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-

— Yusufali

پھر اس وقت جماعت میں جا گھستے ہیں۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

پھر اسی حالت میں وہ لشکر میں جاگھستے ہیں

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

پھر وہ اس کے ساتھ بڑی جماعت کے درمیان جا گھستے ہیں۔

پھر دشمن کے بیچ لشکر میں جاتے ہیں،

اور غبار کے ساتھ غول میں گھس جانے والے

پھر اس کے ساتھ وہ (دشمن کی) جمعیت کے اندر گھس جاتے ہیں۔

پھر اس وقت دشمن کی فوج میں جا گھستے ہیں

پھر اسی کے ساتھ فوجیوں کے درمیان گھس جاتے ہیں

پھر اسی وقت کسی جمگھٹے کے بیچوں بیچ جاگھستے ہیں۔

پھر اِسی حالت میں کسی مجمع کے اندر جا گھستے ہیں

پھر وہ اسی وقت (دشمن کے) لشکر میں گھس جاتے ہیں،

which engulfs the enemy.

اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لِرَبِّہٖ لَکَنُوۡدٌ ۚ﴿۶﴾

That man is ungrateful to his Lord

— Ahmedali

Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord.

— Ahmedraza

Verily man is Unto his Lord ungrateful.

— Daryabadi

Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord;

— Hilali

Indeed, the human being is ungrateful to his Lord.

— Itani

Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord;

— Maududi

Verily, man is ungrateful to his Lord.

— Mubarakpuri

Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord

— Pickthall

Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord.

— Qaribullah

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

— Sahih

Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord.

— Shakir

surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord.

— Wahiduddin

Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

— Yusufali

بیشک انسان اپنے پروردگار کا بڑا ناشکرا ہے

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

کہ انسان اپنے پروردگار کا سخت ناشکرا ہے

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

بیشک انسان اپنے رب کا یقینا بہت ناشکرا ہے۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

بیشک آدمی اپنے رب کا بڑا ناشکرا ہے

کہ انسان اپنے رب کا نہایت ناشکرا ہے

یقیناانسان اپنے رب کا بہت ہی ناشکرا ہے۔

Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord,

وَ اِنَّہٗ عَلٰی ذٰلِکَ لَشَہِیۡدٌ ۚ﴿۷﴾

And is himself witness to it,

— Ahmedali

And indeed he himself is a witness to it.

— Ahmedraza

And verily to that he is witness.

— Daryabadi

And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds);

— Hilali

And he bears witness to that.

— Itani

and he himself is a witness to that,

— Maududi

And to that He bears witness.

— Mubarakpuri

And lo! he is a witness unto that;

— Pickthall

To this he himself shall bear witness.

— Qaribullah

And indeed, he is to that a witness.

— Sahih

And most surely he is a witness of that.

— Shakir

He himself bears witness to that.

— Wahiduddin

And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);

— Yusufali

اور وہ خود بھی اس پر گواہ ہے۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

اور اس بات کا یقینا وہ (خود بھی) گواہ ہے

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

اور بیشک وہ اس بات پر یقینا (خود) گواہ ہے۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

اور بیشک وہ اس پر خود گواہ ہے،

اور وہ اپنے رویہ پر خود گواہ ہے

اور وہ خود اس پر گواہ ہے۔

اور وہ اس سے آگاہ بھی ہے

اور یقیناً وه خود بھی اس پر گواه ہے

اور وہ خود اس بات کا گواہ ہے۔

اور وہ خود اِس پر گواہ ہے

اور یقیناً وہ اس (ناشکری) پر خود گواہ ہے،

and surely he is a witness against that!

He himself knows this very well.

وَ اِنَّہٗ لِحُبِّ الۡخَیۡرِ لَشَدِیۡدٌ ؕ﴿۸﴾

And is intractable in his love of worldly goods.

— Ahmedali

And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme.

— Ahmedraza

And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement,

— Daryabadi

And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth.

— Hilali

And he is fierce in his love of wealth.

— Itani

and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving.

— Maududi

And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth.

— Mubarakpuri

And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.

— Pickthall

And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy).

— Qaribullah

And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

— Sahih

And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.

— Shakir

Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth.

— Wahiduddin

And violent is he in his love of wealth.

— Yusufali

اور وہ مال کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہے۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

اور وہ مال کی محبت میں بری طرح مبتلا ہے

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

اور بیشک وہ مال کی محبت میں یقینا بہت سخت ہے۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

اور بیشک وہ مال کی چاہت میں ضرور کرّا (تیز) ہے

— احمد رضا خان

اور وہ دولت کا رسیا ہے۔

— امین احسن اصلاحی

اور وہ مال و دولت کی محبت میں بہت شدید ہے۔

وہ تو مال سے سخت محبت کرنے والا ہے

یہ مال کی محنت میں بھی بڑا سخت ہے

اور حقیقت یہ ہے کہ وہ مال کی محبت میں بہت پکا ہے۔

اور وہ مال و دولت کی محبت میں بری طرح مبتلا ہے

اور بیشک وہ مال کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہے،

Surely he is passionate in his love for good things.

And indeed he is an avid lover of wealth.

He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches.

اَفَلَا یَعۡلَمُ اِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِی الۡقُبُوۡرِ ۙ﴿۹﴾

Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare

— Ahmedali

So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised,

— Ahmedraza

Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves, shall be ransacked?

— Daryabadi

Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected).

— Hilali

Does he not know? When the contents of the graves are scattered around.

— Itani

Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown;

— Maududi

Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are poured forth

— Mubarakpuri

Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth

— Pickthall

Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown,

— Qaribullah

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

— Sahih

Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised,

— Shakir

Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out?

— Wahiduddin

Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad

— Yusufali

اس کو وہ وقت کیا معلوم نہیں جب زندہ کئے جائیں گے جتنے (مردے) قبروں میں ہیں

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

کیا وہ جانتا نہیں کہ قبروں میں جو کچھ ہے جب وہ باہر نکال لیا جائے گا

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

تو کیا وہ نہیں جانتاجب قبروں میں جو کچھ ہے باہر نکال پھینکا جائے گا۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

تو کیا نہیں جانتا جب اٹھائے جائیں گے جو قبروں میں ہیں،

کیا وہ اس وقت کو نہیں جانتا جب قبریں اگلوائی جائیں گی

تو کیا وہ اس وقت کو نہیں جانتا جب نکال لیا جائے گا وہ سب کچھ جو قبروں میں ہے۔

کیا وہ اس وقت کو نہیں جانتا کہ جو (مردے) قبروں میں ہیں وہ باہر نکال لیے جائیں گے

کیا اسے وه وقت معلوم نہیں جب قبروں میں جو (کچھ) ہے نکال لیا جائے گا

بھلا کیا وہ وقت اسے معلوم نہیں ہے جب قبروں میں جو کچھ ہے اسے باہر بکھیر دیا جائے گا۔

تو کیا وہ اُس حقیقت کو نہیں جانتا جب قبروں میں جو کچھ (مدفون) ہے اُسے نکال لیا جائے گا

تو کیا اسے معلوم نہیں جب وہ (مُردے) اٹھائے جائیں گے جو قبروں میں ہیں،

Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown,

— Arberry

Does he not know, when what is [buried] in the graves is turned over,

— Qarai

Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected

— Sarwar

وَ حُصِّلَ مَا فِی الصُّدُوۡرِ ﴿ۙ۱۰﴾

And the secrets of the hearts exposed,

— Ahmedali

And all what lies in the breasts is opened –

— Ahmedraza

And there shall be brounht to light that which is in the breasts?

— Daryabadi

And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known.

— Hilali

And the contents of the hearts are obtained.

— Itani

and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)?

— Maududi

And that which is in the breasts shall be made known

— Mubarakpuri

And the secrets of the breasts are made known,

— Pickthall

and that which is in the chest is brought out,

— Qaribullah

And that within the breasts is obtained,

— Sahih

And what is in the breasts is made apparent?

— Shakir

And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open?

— Wahiduddin

And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest-

— Yusufali

اور آشکارا ہوجائے گا جو کچھ دلوں میں ہے۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

اور جو کچھ سینوں میں (چھپے ہوئے راز) ہیں انہیں ظاہر کردیا جائے گا

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

اور جو کچھ سینوں میں ہے ظاہر کردیا جائے گا۔

— عبدالسلام بھٹوی

اور کھول دی جائے گی جو سینوں میں ہے،

— احمد رضا خان

اور دلوں کے بھید نکلوائے جائیں۔

— امین احسن اصلاحی

اور ظاہر کردیا جائے گا جو کچھ سینوں میں ہے۔

اور جو (بھید) دلوں میں ہیں وہ ظاہر کر دیئے جائیں گے

— فتح محمد جالندھری

اور سینوں کی پوشیده باتیں ﻇاہر کر دی جائیں گی

— محمد جوناگڑھی

اور سینوں میں جو کچھ ہے اسے ظاہر کردیا جائے گا۔

— محمد تقی عثمانی

اور سینوں میں جو کچھ (مخفی) ہے اُسے برآمد کر کے اس کی جانچ پڑتال کی جائے گی؟

— سید ابوالاعلیٰ مودودی

اور (راز) ظاہر کر دیئے جائیں گے جو سینوں میں ہیں،

and that which is in the breasts is brought out --

— Arberry

and what is [concealed] in the breasts is divulged,

— Qarai

and all that is in the hearts is made public,

— Sarwar

اِنَّ رَبَّہُمۡ بِہِمۡ یَوۡمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِیۡرٌ ٪﴿۱۱﴾

Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds).

— Ahmedali

On that day their Lord surely knows all about them!

— Ahmedraza

Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware.

— Daryabadi

Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds).

— Hilali

Their Lord, on that Day, is fully informed of them.

— Itani

Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them.

— Maududi

Verily, that Day their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them.

— Mubarakpuri

On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them.

— Pickthall

indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them!

— Qaribullah

Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted.

— Sahih

Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them.

— Shakir

Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all.

— Wahiduddin

That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?

— Yusufali

بیشک ان کا پروردگار ان کے حال سے اس روز پورا پورا آگاہ ہوگا۔

— عبدالماجد دریابادی

تو اس دن ان کا پروردگار یقینا ان سے پوری طرح باخبر ہوگا

— عبدالرحمٰن کیلانی

بیشک ان کا رب اس دن ان کے متعلق یقینا خوب خبر رکھنے والا ہے۔

بیشک ان کے رب کو اس دن ان کی سب خبر ہے

بیشک اس دن ان کا رب ان سے اچھی طرح باخبر ہو گا

یقینا ان کا رب اس دن ان سے پوری طرح باخبر ہوگا۔
